Safety Infrastructure
CCTV Surveillance
AI-enabled PTZ cameras covering all concourse areas, platforms, and tunnel approaches with 24ร7 monitoring from the Operations Control Centre.
Fire Detection & Suppression
Automatic fire alarm systems, wet fire mains, inert-gas suppression in electrical rooms, and portable extinguishers throughout all stations and tunnels.
Emergency Lighting
Battery-backed emergency lighting activates automatically across all platforms, concourses, tunnels, and evacuation walkways within seconds of power loss.
Tunnel Ventilation (TVS)
Tunnel Ventilation System controls airflow direction during emergencies to push smoke away from evacuating passengers, ensuring safe egress paths.
CISF Security Cover
Central Industrial Security Force personnel deployed at all stations provide round-the-clock security screening, patrolling, and emergency response.
Public Address System
Station-wide PA system connected to OCC for real-time emergency announcements in Hindi and English across all platforms and concourse areas simultaneously.
Preparedness
Regular Mock Drills
UPMRC conducts periodic emergency mock drills in coordination with CISF, Agra Police, UP Fire Services, and NDRF. These drills simulate scenarios including fire, tunnel evacuation, derailment, and security threats.
Drills are typically conducted during non-revenue hours (before 6 AM or after 10 PM) to avoid passenger inconvenience. Completion of each drill is reported to the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS).
